2020 Toyota Tundra
July 27 2020, Kentville Toyota
The Tundra is progressing this year with new capacities and improved option groups that are sure to attract new owners and meet the needs of truck buyers everywhere. The maximum towing capacity of 4,535 kg is an asset at work and the five models offer a variety of platforms to accomplish any task.
Special option groups, including the SX, TRD Off Road, TRD Sport, TRD Sport Premium, and TRD Pro models, offer even more equipment to customize your Tundra. In all, the Tundra is available in a choice of 17 models and configurations for 2020.
The 4x2, 4x4 Double Cab and 4x4 CrewMax models are the platforms on which it all starts. These models offer you a wide choice of four body lengths, all with a width of 1270 mm. The 4x2 has a body length of 2479 mm. The body length reaches 2000 mm on the 4x4 Double Cab and to 2480 mm on the 4x4 Double Cab LB SR5. Even with a large cabin, the CrewMax SB and SB Platinum nevertheless have a body length of 1694 mm.
Many Tundra owners are enthusiastic about the truck's engine, one of the few standard V8 engines in the full-size truck segment. The 5.7-litre I-FORCE V8 generating 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque gives you all of the power you need right out of the gate. It is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift mode.
You don't need expensive additions to prepare the Tundra for towing. Each model comes standard with a factory-assembled tow group that includes a heavy-duty trailer hitch receiver, wire harness, transmission cooler, and transmission fluid temperature indicator.
Safety is an imperative in the Tundra. All models include the Toyota Safety Sense system, which consists of a set of active technologies. These include the pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, automatic high beams and dynamic radar cruise control.
